Spy

While training troops, I'm sure you noticed a troop called Spy, but may not know how to use them. On this page you can find anything and everything you need to know about Spies, Clairvoyance, and Sentinels.

What is a Spy? Edit

Spies are the troop you will send out if you want to collect intel on another player. They can only be defeated by other spies when sent as a "Spy" march. Although, they can also be sent as an "Attack" the same as any other troop would be.
When spying other players, you do not have to include a General in the march. This is the only time they will obtain intel. If sent as an attack, they require a General, will fight as any other troop would, and can be defeated as any other troop would be.

How do I spy another player?Edit

  • Go to the player's City, Outpost, or Wilderness on the map
  • Click "Spy"
  • Select 1 Spy (Only 1 is needed)
If this 1 Spy dies, this means that the other player is defending with Spies (or the Great Dragon ate it if no spies are listed on the report). So you will need to send roughly 2x the amount of Spies as the other person has listed on the Spy Report.
If your Spy/Spies are not defeated, you will be able to see:
  • Exact Number of Resources (minus Gold) City or Outpost
  • Exact Number of Troops City or Outpost
  • Owner Wilderness
  • Exact Number of Researches City
  • Last Login Time/Date City
The actual amount of information you will receive depends on the level of Clairvoyance you had researched at the time you obtained the Spy Report.

What determines how much information I get when I am spied or attacked?Edit

This depends on the level of your Sentinel in your City. If you have a level 1 Sentinal you will not receive much information about the attacker and the information you receive can be vague or erroneous.
This only applies to your City. If your Outposts or Wildernesses are spied or attacked, you will not receive any warning, only a Battle Report. This is why it is not a good idea to leave troops stationed in your Outposts for long periods of time.

Pseudonym grant

These are not game changers like the Completion Grants and Ancestral Seals, but if you are constantly harrassed by someone or would just like to disappear for some other reason... these are awesome if used properly. If used wrong, you will have a new name and the same old problems.
Before you change your name, acquire these items as well:
  • Dark or Charted City Warp
  • Enough Outpost Warps for all of your Outposts
  • Rename Proclamation (Optional)

    Seudonimo.jpg

The reason you need these is that even if you change your name, if I know where your City or Outposts are I figure out what you changed your name to. So RIGHT before changing your name, warp all of your City and Outposts. If you change your name 1st and then warp, someone may see your new name before you get completely warped out... but that would be if you are under heavy fire around the clock, otherwise you will still be ok. Renaming your city is not as important as warping, but it may prove useful if you have one laying around or if your City Name is so unique that is sticks out in a crowd.
Also, if you plan on changing your name... DO NOT message anyone in game if you do not want them to have your new name. If someone has an old message from you in their inbox, as soon as you change your name the name on the message will change as well. So you have effectively wasted your name change.

Titan

This is an elite troop that is only trainable in the GAEA Springs if you have a level 10 Training Camp.
One of the oldest being of Atlantis. Also one of its mightiest. These massive protectors of nature have no natural enemies. Typically docile and peaceful, they remain at rest and commune with nature. When provoked, they are unstoppable Their power is an advantage, as they give 20 power per troop. However, it is extremly expensive in resources and research. Has the higher defense and melee attack than anyother troop.

You must have a Titan Seedling for each one these that you train. When a Petrified Titan dies, you do not get the seedling back, but you will be able to revive them in the Spectral Ruins. You can obtain these seedlings from level 7+ Forests and Anthropus Camps. They can also be purchased from the Shop with Rubies.
